SATURDAY RIDES

Meet at club room at 8.25am to leave at 8.30 during summer ( 9am in winter). 25 mile ride on set route stopping at cafe at Eccleshall . Option then to ride back to Stone or group to split for some to do more miles. Average 17mph but always wait.

SUNDAY MORNING RUNS
We meet at the clubroom at 8.55am and leave at 9am (prompt) throughout the year.
We aim to do about 50 miles with a cafe stop and try to average about 17mph for the ride.
Every effort is made to keep the group together so, we wait for anyone who is struggling, has a puncture or other mechanical problem.
The routes vary from week to week to give the rides variety.

TRAINING RIDES
Tuesday and Thursday

The meet is always on the Walton Business Park by the bus shelter. Now on summer routes from 2nd April so meet at 6.25pm leave at 6.30pm (may need lights for first few rides)

The rides vary according to the time of year.

In the dark nights of winter the ride is about an hour and a half up and down the A34 between Walton Island and Trentham Island. (about 12 miles per lap).

This road is for the most part well lit.

In the summer the Tuesday & Thursday ride is 1 lap of the Gnosall circuit or Swynerton usually about 25 miles.

These rides are for training and are significantly quicker than the Saturday morning ride.

But with all the rides there are plenty of places for dropped riders to cut across the route, have a rest and rejoin the group. The average on training rides is 20-25 mph depending on how may out, conditions etc.

With all the group rides make sure you have with you:

A basic tool kit, including spare inner tube and pump
small sum of money
ID
mobile phone
and of course turn up with a working bike.
