There is currently no regular Saturday ride so check our Facebook page each week to see if any posted, some members ride with VeloRunner who have a ride going from shop at 9am for 2 hours. If you are a club member you will be in our WhatsApp group and all rides are on there.
SUNDAY MORNING TRAINING RIDES
We meet at the clubroom(Stone Tennis Club) at 8.25am and leave at 8.30am (prompt) throughout the year.
We aim to do about 50 miles no stop and try to average about 18mph to 20mph for the ride.
Every effort is made to keep the group together so, we wait for anyone who is struggling, has a puncture or other mechanical problem.

TUESDAY EVENING TRAINING RIDES
The meet is at Stone Tennis Club at 6.30pm . Details always on Facebook and WhatsApp.
The rides vary according to the time of year.
In the dark nights of winter the ride is about an hour and a half up and down the A34 between Walton Island and Trentham Island. (about 12 miles per lap). This road is for the most part well lit.
In the summer the route is out to Great Bridgeford , to Woodseaves, through lanes back to Eccleshall and then finishing at Swynnerton – about 35 miles at a similar pace to Sundays rides.
But with all the rides there are plenty of places for dropped riders to cut across the route, have a rest and rejoin the group. The average on training rides is 18-25 mph depending on how may out, conditions etc.
With all the group rides make sure you have with you:
A basic tool kit, including spare inner tube and pump
small sum of money
and of course turn up with a working bike.
